Color is a very important part in most peoples lives. Many of us use colors everyday. We're able to see colors because the light reflects all the colors and objects reflect one of the colors and absorb all the rest. The primary colors for the CMY color wheel are cyan, magenta, and yellow, they are what make up the majority of the colors. The secondary colors are green, red, and violet, they're the result of mixing two primary colors together. The tertiary colors are all the others on the wheel, they're made by mixing the colors next to eachother.

This project helped me a lot with remembering different color harmonies and how to make them. In this mandala I used an analogous color pallet which uses colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. On one of my other mandalas I used a triad color pallet which you can create by putting a triangle on a color wheel and using the colors on the corners. The last color pallet I used was monochromatic which uses one hue with different shades.

This is a photo of a cat on a table. I altered the colors and made it warmer. Overall, the original photo contained a cooler tone but I used the contrast and color balance to make it warmer. I think the warmer tones make the image cozier and more welcoming while cool tones make it seem a little off putting. Its also a lot brighter and happier while before it was a bit gloomy.
