The original painting that I parodied is called "American Gothic." In the original it shows a farmer and his daughter and was made to represent how Americans should be serious and hardworking. I took the serious farmers and replaced them with Clarence and Sumo from the Cartoon Network show "Clarence." I did this parody to say that Americans aren't all that serious anymore and its okay to be silly sometimes.
